Founded

1991

Engineering Support & Services Ltd. (ESS) was established with a mission to deliver reliable, efficient, and sustainable asset management solutions. From day one, we’ve supported global clients through best practice frameworks, expert facilitation, and a commitment to long-term impact.

Building Expertise

2000–2024

• Over 150 ESS Standard Assessments delivered worldwide, benchmarked to ISO 55001

• Created the ESS Training Division in 2003 to deliver industry-specific, CPD-recognised technical training

• ESS became a registered Training Provider with Engineers Ireland and endorsed by the Institute of Asset Management as both assessor and trainer

• Partnered with Zimmer Biomet in 2011—helping the Shannon site become a global benchmark in asset performance, a success since replicated across eight sites

• Acquired Eirdata Environmental Services in 2013, expanding into compliance for critical airflow environments

• Co-authored the SEAI/Wind Energy Ireland Wind Farm Asset Management Guidance in 2021, reinforcing our position as industry thought leaders
